Tiny Houses

I cannot believe I haven't posted anything on my blog for over 2 years!  I would like to get started again!  I used the Tim Holtz Sizzix "Tiny Houses" and Sizzlits "Decorative Strips" dies to make these little houses.  I just love these dies! The sweet images are from Paper Whimsy.

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

I remember the aroma of corned beef and cabbage wafting throughout the house each year on St. Paddy's Day as I was growing up.  My mother always made this from scratch, honoring her Irish roots.  Her great grandmother came to the United States through Ellis Island when she was a young girl, working as a nanny for my great, great grandfather and his wife.  His wife passed away, sadly, and he later married the children's nanny, my great, great grandmother; thus my maternal great grandmother was born.  May you have a wonderful, joyful and safe day today, and . . .
"May you always be blessed with walls for the wind, a roof for the rain, a warm cup of tea by the fire, laughter to cheer you, those you love near you, and all that your heart might desire." (Irish Blessing)

Well, finally--New tags!

I have been absent from Tag Tuesday for way too long!  Here are 3 tags I created in the last couple of days for their past 3 themes of "Insects" and "Pleats, Folds, and Tucks" and lastly, "Maps, Charts, and Diagrams."  It feels so GOOD to be playing with stamps and inks and paper again!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!  I have high hopes for this brand new year to be one of peace, love, and harmony for everyone.  The past few years have been difficult for so many, including my family, and I am looking forward to a great year in 2014 for everyone!  (And many thanks to The Graphics Fairy for these lovely New Year's images.)

'Tis the Season for: CANDLES!

Finally, FINALLY, I'm able to squeeze out some time to say hello.  Moving into a new house and babysitting grandchildren, etc., has kept me away from my blog these past months-seems like my days fly by and I never have any time for art.  I sure miss it, and miss visiting my blogging friends.  I did decide to try and make soy candles this year for my family members, and surprise!  They not only were fun and easy to make, they turned out very nice, and burn long, and beautifully, emitting a soft glow.
I hope I can post again before Christmas, but if not, please know that I wish everyone a very happy and blessed and peaceful Holiday Season!
